Freese and Nichols is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer (EIT) to join growing Greenville, SC office. The role involves collaborating with a team of engineers and technicians on projects spanning the study, design, and construction phases lift stations, pump stations, tanks, large diameter pipelines, treatment facilities, and other utility infrastructure.
Resolve problems associated with projects. Perform field inspections, detailed design work, produce design calculations, and coordinate design and analysis criteria.Assist Project Engineer/Manager in estimating engineering project costs. Maintain an awareness of project budgets and endeavor to complete assignments within budget.Perform independent work on assigned tasks for studies and designs. Develop an outline for problem solution for approval by Project Engineer. Proceed with analysis of study with general guidance and final review by Project Engineer.Assist the Project Engineer in the development and execution of the assigned projects and assume various tasks necessary to project completion.Become acquainted with the procedures and techniques necessary to execute a sound and efficient project. On assigned projects, provide guidance and assistance to drafting personnel and help expand their capabilities in project performance.Provide quality work within the scope of work, guidelines, manhours, and schedules defined by the Project Manager. Provide the Project Manager with information and assist in the coordination of information between groups. Provide the Project manager with information for decision-making related to the overall project.Qualifications1+ years of experience performing engineering tasksBachelors Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related field)EIT Certification
