We are actively seeking a Water & Wastewater Staff Engineer I to join our team of professionals in State College, PA. As a Water & Wastewater Staff Engineer I, you will work with Project Manager(s), Project Engineer(s) and other Staff Engineer(s) to successfully complete water & wastewater design projects. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Completing studies, reports, and investigations of water, wastewater, and environmental issues based upon needs and desires of clientsDesigning water treatment, storage, and distribution systemsDesigning wastewater collection, conveyance, and treatment systemsPreparing permit applications relative to water and wastewater facilitiesAttending meetings as necessary (both regular monthly and special purpose)Providing field inspection and investigationPerforming computer modelingUtilizing hydraulic design software Requirements

 

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental EngineeringE.I.T. certification, preferredCourse work and/or 0-2 years' experience working on projects that include:

           ~Water distribution and treatment systems

          ~Wastewater collection, conveyance, and treatment systems processes

          ~Hydraulics

          ~PA DEP Permitting

Previous internship with a consulting engineering firm (preferred)Proficient with Microsoft Office SuiteWorking familiarity of AutoCAD Civil 3DFamiliarity of computer modeling of water systems and PA DEP regulationsTeam player with strong communication, organizational, and time management skillsPosition requires travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices as necessary (Valid driver's license)Has the legal right to work in the U.S.
