HDR is currently in need of aWater/Wastewater Municipal Engineerto work as a member of our growing office in Houston or Corpus Christi, TX.

Primary Responsibilities:

In the role of Water/Wastewater Municipal Engineer, we’ll count on you to:

Design responsibilities include preparing construction documents, calculations, writing specifications, analysis and study-level reports for water and wastewater treatment plants, water distribution, wastewater collection system, pump stations, site layouts, horizontal and vertical control, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, determining appropriate design methods, equipment sizing and selection.Perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and proceduresServing as owner’s representative, coordination of inspection/observation activities, review and response to shop drawings, submittals, requests for clarification and other construction related correspondence, coordination of startup, commissioning and acceptance activities.Helps to coordinate the work of engineers and the balance of the multi-discipline project team throughout the entire project development.Conducts work sessions for design development and contract document in conjunction with other staff.Perform other duties as neededRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree Previous experience in general civil engineering Professional Engineer (PE) license. Demonstrated leadership and communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Good verbal and written communication skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
