Water/Wastewater Project Manager/Engineer
Mead & Hunt is a Top 100 national engineering/architecture consulting firm with a growing water/wastewater practice. As a result, we have a full-time position available for a water/wastewater project manager/engineer to join our team. Responsibilities include: Serving as the project manager for industrial and municipal water and wastewater projects Overseeing design as well as performing technical design tasks Provide study/evaluation and design lead engineering services Mentoring and providing technical guidance to project team and junior staff Ensuring quality control and quality assurance reviews Aiding proposals and project development, including scope and pricing Hydraulic and treatment analyses Serving as a client manager Travel will be required (10-20%) The successful candidate must have all of the following: A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil, chemical, environmental or related engineering from an accredited college or university At least four years of relevant experience The ideal candidate will have experience in any/all of the following: Project management (scope, schedule and budget) of projects Water/Wastewater supply and treatment design experience including: Knowledge of wastewater treatment process design and technologies, including aerobi and anaerobic biological wastewater treatment Developing plans and specifications Technology selection Aiding in construction and life cycle cost estimates PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in additional states Industrial food and beverage wastewater treatment experience Experience with anaerobic treatment and biogas systems Experience with project management across project phases: conceptual/preliminary design, detailed design, construction, and commissioning phases Experience aiding in construction and life cycle cost estimates Mentoring and providing technical guidance to staff Client management for public and private entities Experience coordinating and managing multi-disciplinary teams The ideal candidate will also have experience with EPC (Engineer, Procure, Construct) or design-build project delivery.
