Water/Wastewater Utility Inspector

**Position available to be based out of any of Pennoni's Maryland/Washington metro area offices for work located in Baltimore, Annapolis, Howard County, Prince George's County and Montgomery County**

Pennoni Associates is current seeking a Construction Inspector.  with experience consistent, but not limited to:

Inspect assigned water & sewer lines to ensure compliance with municipal requirements, specifications, and contracts. Inspect utility & related construction projects for compliance with plans, specifications, and standards. Provide documentation of project work activity, equipment utilized, and manpower for projects. Measure and record completed work. Conduct walk-through visits to inspect completed and in-progress work sites. Provides relevant information to Developers, Contractors, and/or other interested parties (when authorized to do so). Work construction hours (which may include overtime) and in inclement weather Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs Obtain and maintain inspection certifications, such as MARTCP, WACEL, ACI Use of standard computer software (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word, use of iPads and Laptops) Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

At least 3 years of professional experience working in field-based construction inspection.

The candidate will be expected to work in the field, and must possess a Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion of an Associate degree (or higher) in an Engineering-oriented or Construction Management field of study Experience working with water, wastewater / sewage, and/or stormwater resources Experience with Traffic Control Holds current MARTCP, ACI, WACEL, or NICET certifications Knowledge of WSSC standards Knowledge of Maryland State Highway Administration standards Knowledge of Prince George’s and Montgomery County standards Experience with paving projects, site grading, and Erosion & Sediment Control Proven ability to demonstrate responsibility and honesty, especially in a dependable manner. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
