HDR is seeking a Digital Design Specialist to join our Water Business Group team in Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Wilmington, or Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate will have a technical interest in water and wastewater treatment, pump stations and pipelines or water resources and stormwater. The Designer will be responsible for assisting with projects through planning, design, and construction phases. Project types could include water and wastewater treatment facilities, gravity sanitary sewers and force mains, water distribution and transmission pipelines, water and wastewater pump stations and related infrastructure projects.

The candidate will support professional engineers and technical staff. The candidate may have periodic contact with clients regarding ongoing projects and tasks. This position may require occasional field visits for construction observation.

Preferred Qualifications

Water/wastewater/water resources project experience, focus on water/wastewater treatment, pump stations and pipelines, or water resources/stormwater is preferred.ESRI ArcGIS experienceAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.Required QualificationsTechnical degree or a minimum of 3 years related industry experience Technically qualified with 3D design software and document management infrastructure  Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools Experience with 3D Coordination tools Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational traits are essential Intermediate understanding of engineering or architectural concepts
