Overview: Seeking a motivated summer Intern to assist with various conservation and sustainability projects related to watershed and reservoir management. The intern will support activities and studies focused on forestry, hydrology, wildlife, and water quality, contributing to environmental protection and sustainability initiatives. This position offers hands-on experience in fieldwork and scientific research, with exposure to multiple aspects of conservation and resource management.\n

Key Responsibilities:\n\nAssist with scientific studies related to water quality, forestry, fisheries, and drought management.\nSupport sustainability projects aimed at reducing environmental impact and operational costs.\nHelp with grant applications and gather necessary documentation for funding requirements.\nAssist in research and analysis for source water protection and water loss initiatives.\nPerform field measurements and maintain data for various studies.\nMaintain trails, roads, and fire roads in the watershed area.\nPatrol assigned areas, ensuring rules and regulations are followed.\nComplete daily maintenance logs and assist with routine equipment repairs.\n\n

Requirements:\n\nCollege Student or rising Freshman with a strong interest in environmental conservation and sustainability.\nAbility to work both independently and in a team.\nExcellent communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders.\nKnowledge of safety procedures and the ability to operate equipment safely.\nMust possess and maintain a valid state driver's license. \n\n
