Job Title: Wawa Beverage Warehouse (WBW) Supervisor Location: Wawa Beverage WarehouseDepartment: Manufacturing and Engineering Salary Band: Team Lead *2nd and 3rd Shift Role Position Summary: The Supervisor of WBW will supervise an automated shipping facility along with semi-automated receiving facility. Manage the reconciliation process between inbound and outbound of cased beverages. Lead and direct team of shipping associates, mechanics, system technicians, yard jockeys and an administrative associate.Principal Duties:Work with the WBW Manager to develop and enforce associate performance standards. Improve associate satisfaction within the guidelines of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Assess staff requirements and evaluate the qualifications of union associates.Direct and lead the activities of union associates to put forth a quality Wawa standard product in a safe and efficient manner.Support and drive work practices that ensure the safety and welfare of associates assigned to the department.Develop and supervise the scheduling of workforce personnel to provide adequate labor to support daily receiving and shipping demands.Prioritize, direct and facilitate the repair, maintenance, and safe operation of an automated storage and retrieval system.Partner cross-functionally to develop and implement best practices in cost reduction and efficiency gains.Manage multiple financial accounts assisting in financial control within the department.Establish controls in shift operations to insure compliance with sanitation guidelines.Participate in, lead or sponsor teams within the department to address issues that impact safety, customer service and productivity.Develop, train and implement the standards for all operating procedures.Track and procure all purchase product items such as water, eggs, yogurts, and creamers. Forecast and trend impact as they relate to new products, new customers and school schedules.Maintain stabilized purchase product inventories, oversee cycle counts and work with vendors to ensure correct product date codes, delivery windows, order lead times and overall quality and accuracy of inbound shipments.Purchase items and track spending through SAP. Manage key procurement budget components by competitively sourcing vendors along with advising management to trends improving key performance indicators for business practices. Negotiate with vendors and research competitive pricing.Prepare daily reports as pertains to shipping and receiving for WBW and Wawa Direct and ensure that all processes be driven by data analysis and benchmarked history.Manage the operational portion of the wholesale coffee business for Wawa Direct. First point of contact for all customers, vendors and brokers regarding orders, delivery coordination and billing. Track and investigate all deduction claims. Prepare monthly reporting on sales, volume and deductions.Provide overall direction and support for team and monitor and assess individual work in accordance with high standards of excellence. Provide feedback, coaching, support, opportunities for development, complete performance appraisals, take corrective action when appropriate, and participate in hiring decisions.
