WB Lending Services | Agent - Syndicated Loans

Agency Services is part of ING’s global COO Lending Services organization. A facility agent acts as the primary point of contact between the transaction parties within a club deal or syndicated loan, and is responsible for the prompt and clear communication between the borrower and lenders. The agent will need to ensure it aligns and works with the internal stakeholders, provide operational advice on the operability of the transaction, capture and maintain the deals in our systems, handle the flow of funds and provide ongoing transaction support.

The Amsterdam Agency Services team supports a wide range of deals originating from various industry sectors including but not exclusive to, trade & commodity finance, real estate finance, acquisition finance, financial institutions, transportation & logistics and export finance.

At our Amsterdam office, we have three Agency Services teams who use Agile and Lean methodologies to further improve the client experience, the way we work and how we collaborate. Our purpose is to be best in class within Agency Services globally and meet agreed Service Levels with our Customers by collaborating within and across departments and teams and a drive to improve processes. Roles and responsibilities

Actively contributing to a positive atmosphere and workplace.;

First point of contact for the external client, lenders, loans capital market teams, internal stakeholders and other third parties such as external counsel;

Review of the loan documentation from an operability perspective to ensure that ING’s standards, regulatory standards and the latest LMA/LSTA templates are adhered to;

Collaborate with the originating business and external legal counsel in terms of comments raised, to ensure that such points are negotiated to a successful outcome;

Identify and collate the information required to on-board a new deal whilst ensuring that all documentation is received on a timely basis;

Liaise with external legal counsel to ensure that relevant CPs are fulfilled and proactively manage the deal closing process, including funds flow;

Work with internal and external contacts to manage the non-operational aspects of a deal including amendments, waivers and consent and act as the main point of contact for all deal issue escalations, ensuring that all matters are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner;

Proactively manage day to day run activities (drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, fees, margin adjustments, covenants, secondary debt trades / transfers etc) whilst working with and overseeing the various off-shore support teams to ensure that a high quality, client focused, and control conscious product is delivered.  

Who are we looking for

Team player;

Experienced within Financial institutions;

Experienced within Syndicated loans is a plus;

Affinity and (deep) understanding of complex Lending Structures;

Ability to read and interpret credit agreement;

Positive attitude towards Agile and/or Lean;

Experience with our application LoanIQ is a plus;

Prepared to “go the extra mile”;

Client focus;

Ability to be flexible and act under pressure.
