Job Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS:  

 Design equipment, projects and C.I. ideas on paper and see those projects to completion. Troubleshoot, remove, disassemble, rebuild and install dunnage on shipping and WIP racks & containers. Understand and perform the Packaging Preventative Maintenance system and work within its guidelines. Track work performed on racks in the Packaging Repair Tracking System. Must be able to work unsupervised and have the ability to make accurate decisions concerning rack repair. Follow 5S and all housekeeping practices. Train and supervise personnel as needed. Make improvements and upgrades of equipment relevant to Safety, Ergonomics and / or Production.

EDUCATION: 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED),  2 year technical degree or certification strongly preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE / TECHNICAL TRAINING: 

3-5 years in welding desired.Must have a Valid Fork truck license with 1 year experience, welding certificates, other certifications such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.Ability to use MIG and ARC welding equipment, as well as the oxygen and acetylene bottles. Ability to plastic weld Ability to use inspecting and troubleshooting equipment. Ability to read drawings and blueprints and takes detailed measurements to plan the project to the desired layout. Ability to operate a plasma cutter. Ability to operate vehicles and equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, boom lifts, company vehicles  ​

Pay range: $24.48 - $27.35 per hour
