The approximate date of this internship is June 2025 to January 2026 and will be located in Orlando, FL.

What You Will Do

We are looking for a Graphic Fabrication Intern to work within the department responsible for developing signage and show graphics that help tell the stories in Disney Theme Parks and Resorts worldwide. As an intern on the team, you will have the opportunity to…

Provide design support and production coordination for Environmental Graphic Design projectsReview drawings and provide feedbackProvide fabrication support for the Imagineering graphics project teamOrganize and develop a scope of work in support of hard cost budget and schedule for projects of limited complexity and sizeSupport the Environmental Graphic Signage cost estimating process through collection of data for reviewManage vendors on small scaled projectsProvide documentation throughout the design process

Required Qualifications & Skills

Ability to manage time while working on multiple projectsProficiency in foam core assembly, soldering, and woodshop skillsBasic electronics knowledgeExperience with Creative Suite 6 or digital illustration tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, 3D software knowledge of Sketch-up, Rhino or Auto Cad and MS Office SuiteUnderstanding of specific application of drafting principles and techniques as applied to environmental graphics construction documentationProven ability to detail themed environmental graphics for contract documentationValid Driver’s License Required

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum one year of experience in a design practice, or a professional internshipFamiliarity with Environmental Graphic design, sign construction techniques, and related areas including architecture, interior design and landscape design

Education

Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher attending an accredited college/university earning a degree in Architecture, Industrial Design or Product Design

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship Be at least 18 years of age Possess unrestricted work authorization Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.

The pay rate for this role in Florida is $26.50 per hour for undergraduate students and $27.50 per hour for graduate level students.
