What You Will Do
As a Show Lighting Design Intern, you will work with the team that researches, designs, develops, installs, tests and adjusts, and/or documents new projects. These projects apply architectural and theatrical lighting techniques supporting the creative vision for attractions, restaurants, merchandise areas and/or area development in our Disney theme park and resort areas! Develop, under supervision, designs of show lightingPrepare, under supervision, basic lighting design and field implementationTroubleshoot and install existing lighting in a construction environmentProvide general support to Lighting DesignersRequired Qualifications & Skills
Hands on experience with theatrical or architectural lightingExperience with AutoCAD & RevitComputer literacy with MS Office productsAbility to work as a member of a technical teamValid Driver’s License requiredEducation
Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher attending an accredited college/university earning a degree in a Theatrical or Architectural Lighting program, or related field.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship Be at least 18 years of age Possess unrestricted work authorization Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.Additional Information
