Compensation Range

Hourly: $26.25 - $30.75 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

Essential Functions

Accurately develop and deliver financial plans in a timely manner

Review the financial information that is collected from the client or prospect by the planner, ensuring the information is correct before entering the information into the financial planning software and verifying the accuracy of the resulting plan 

Focus on leads generated from marketing resulting in qualified meetings 

Work closely with the asset management sales team on sales process, sales training, and pipeline accountability

Collaborate with the Marketing department by providing feedback and information on calling campaigns

Pursue sales training as directed by management

Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

Basic knowledge of, and a strong interest in, the wealth management field

Basic understanding of financial services, including financial planning techniques

Ability to be in a sales-focused role and display resiliency throughout the sales process, including rejection when prospecting

Ability to develop a working knowledge of financial plans and how Commerce Trust Company (CTC) services can be a solution

Excellent problem-solving skills

Ability to utilize financial planning software

Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values

Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Management, or Personal Financial Planning or equivalent combination of education and experience required

1+ year of relevant financial industry experience preferred

Sales and business development experience preferred

At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $26.25 to $30.75 per hour.
