Job Summary
This position quotes and sells various lines of Property & Casualty insurance to members and non-members. This position quotes, binds, collects premiums and processes new business insurance applications and memberships.



Job Duties

Collect paperwork and verify P&C insurance policies. Verify and enter policy data into insurance systems and respond to all underwriting inquiries. Refer non-qualifying members to In-house Agency. Focus on activities that are targeted at increasing the first year survival of new business including UBI.Contact and follow up on all cancellations, inspections and missing paperwork required to completely process policies.Maintain pre-established rating and information accuracy scores.Maintain up-to-date, working knowledge of all insurance policy provisions, rating factors, rules and insurance systems.Identify cross-sell opportunities based on members’ product needs and service requests. Enhance member relationship by diversifying use of products and services. Provide sales leads to Web Sales agents, life insurance, in-house agency insurance, travel and other departments as appropriate.Maintain proficiency in all call center technology and sales/other technology utilized in sales.Email documents to insureds and obtain all required documents back for processing within specified guidelines and according to accuracy standardsAssists members with inquiries, questions and endorsements on their existing policies and maintain relationships for future referralsPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.Focuses primarily on collecting data and processing insurance policies. During the process, many obstacles and conflicts can arise, requiring Insurance Service Specialist to multi-task and think quickly in order to provide solutions to various issues.Anticipating member’s needs and concerns in order to serve them in an efficient manner.Identifying ways to streamline business practices and sharing ideas with Management.Provide exceptional customer service and maximize all selling opportunities.Be knowledgeable about AAA membership, insurance and service products, and other services.Be able to adapt to different situations and do the right thing for the member.


Qualifications

Associates Equivalent combination of education and experience1-3 years Customer service or salesMust have moderate proficiency in using Microsoft Office software, such as Outlook, Word and Excel.Advanced communication skills required, both written and oral.Well organized, self-motivated, desire to succeed, team oriented, adaptable and detail oriented.Property and Casualty Insurance License, valid in selling state - Issued by State RequiredLife Insurance License, valid in selling state - Issued by State Required


Scope

Work is closely managed and reviewed for accuracy and adequacy. Follows specific, outlined, and detailed directions.Provides resolution to problems that are readily identifiable with limited scope and are resolved in accordance with standard practices, procedures, applications or routines. Problem/Task resolution timeframe: The majority of tasks typically take one to two days to resolve.Under immediate supervision, performs assigned tasks only as instructed, subject to regular check of performance.Individual ContributorFailure to accomplish results can normally be overcome without significant effect on the organization.Contacts are primarily with direct supervisor and others in group or department to give and receive information.

The starting pay range for this position is:

$19.60 - $26.10

Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
