Tri Pointe Homes is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic individual to join our talented group as a Web & Mobile App Developer. Position Highlights: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Web & Mobile App Developer to join our Home Office marketing team to lead the design and development of cutting-edge headless websites and React Native mobile applications. In addition to hands-on technical expertise, this role requires a strong ability to manage and lead external development partners. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, exceptional collaboration skills, and a passion for delivering robust, efficient, and maintainable systems. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of modern front-end and back-end technologies, scalable architectures, and user-centric design principles. Position Responsibilities: Design scalable, secure, and performant architectures for websites, and React Native mobile apps using modern frameworks and tools. Help identify outdated technologies / risks and assist with creating detailed plans for upgrading / migrating to newer technologies. Assist with maintaining and migrating WordPress websites to newer technology stacks. Provide technical leadership for cross-functional teams, including external developers, designers, and internal product managers. Oversee the technical roadmap, evaluating and recommending the best tools and frameworks to ensure alignment with business objectives and needs. Collaborate with and manage external development partners to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and project timelines. Conduct regular code reviews and technical evaluations of external partners' work to maintain high-quality outcomes. Act as the primary point of contact for external development partners, ensuring alignment on goals, timelines, and technical solutions. Develop proof-of-concepts, prototypes, and production-ready solutions using website and mobile app development platforms. Assist with maintaining websites currently built on WordPress and assist with transitioning to new headless CMS. Collaborate on the implementation of API technologies for seamless integration with headless and mobile applications. Customize and optimize legacy website technology for performance, scalability, and security, leveraging plugins, themes, and custom development to meet business requirements Conduct rigorous code reviews to ensure external teams deliver high-quality, maintainable code. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in web and mobile applications. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements. Position Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in software development Proven experience managing and collaborating with external development partners. Expertise in React, React Native, and JavaScript/TypeScript. Strong understanding of headless website architecture and CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful, Strapi, Sanity, Builder.io, etc.). Knowledge of WordPress, including custom theme and plugin development, WP REST API, and security best practices. Proficiency in building and consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs. Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with performance optimization techniques for web and mobile applications. Knowledge of server-side frameworks (e.g. Node.js) is a plus. Understanding of security best practices in website and mobile app development. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions to meet deadlines Excellent communication and collaboration skills Proven ability to lead and inspire external partners. A growth mindset with a passion for staying up to date on new technologies and trends. Physical Requirements: Sedentary for extended periods, 4 or more hours per day Visual acuity for detailed computer work Hearing ability to communicate via phone/video calls Using fine motor skills for tasks requiring precision such as typing and data entry Compensation & Benefits: Base Salary: The expected base salary range for this position is between $123,000 - $168,000 per year, depending on experience and skillset. Base Salary is paid bi-weekly, every other Friday. Bonus: This position is eligible for an annual performance-based cash bonus. Bonuses are earned, calculated and paid in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Company’s applicable incentive plan document.
