About the Job:

The mission of a Web Support Specialist I is to deliver top-tier technical support and issue resolution for customers using Vendasta's website pro product. This role ensures that clients receive swift and efficient solutions to product-related issues, enhancing their experience with Vendasta's products. As a trusted partner to customers, the Web Support Specialist leverages technical expertise and strong communication skills to address website functionality issues, improve user experience, and offer strategic guidance on web optimization. The ultimate goal is to empower clients to maximize the value of their online presence through responsive and proactive support.


Your Impact:

Issue Resolution & Support:
Provide real-time assistance to clients by troubleshooting and resolving website issues, including WordPress management, DNS configuration, and SSL setup.
Actively monitor support tickets and prioritize tasks based on urgency and customer impact, ensuring all queries are resolved within service-level agreements (SLAs).
Investigate complex technical problems and coordinate with the product or development teams when necessary to resolve issues promptly.
Maintain detailed records of client interactions, solutions, and technical challenges for future reference and improvement.
Utilize diagnostic tools and testing methods to ensure long-term issue resolution and customer satisfaction. Product Knowledge & Expertise:
Build in-depth knowledge of Vendasta’s product suite and services to offer informed and accurate recommendations to clients.
Stay up-to-date with product releases and feature enhancements to provide timely, relevant support for customer queries.
Proactively communicate technical concepts and updates in an easy-to-understand manner, ensuring clients are aware of best practices and optimization opportunities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to relay customer feedback, product improvement ideas, and bug reports.
Educate customers on new features and updates to help them get the most out of Vendasta’s tools and services. Technical Solutions & Web Development:
Assist clients with web hosting, SSL certificate management, and DNS configuration, ensuring smooth website functionality.
Develop and troubleshoot solutions using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to resolve custom web development challenges faced by clients.
Provide guidance on eCommerce development and optimization, supporting clients with the setup and enhancement of their online stores.
Implement caching solutions and site speed optimizations to improve website performance and user experience.
Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements in technical support processes, reducing response time and improving outcomes.

What you bring to the table:

2+ years of experience working directly in WordPress development; experience developing and supporting eCommerce websites is a strong asset. 1-2 years of experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in a technical support environment. Proven expertise in DNS, SSL, caching, and web hosting services, with the ability to diagnose and resolve related issues. Demonstrated proficiency in web technologies: PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze problems and offer creative solutions in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users. Maintains high performance standards and holds oneself accountable to personal benchmarks of success. Ability to quickly adapt to new tools, systems, and changing technology landscapes, always seeking ways to improve skill sets and knowledge base.
