Overview:\n
Semper Valens is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Web System Administrator to support the AFINC III contract with the 26th Network Operations Squadron (26NOS) at Maxwell Air Force Base-Gunter Annex, Alabama. The 26 NOS is responsible for the intranet support of the entire Air Force network, operating and defending the Air Force (AF) Enterprise computer network, including the AF Wide Area Network (WAN) routers, AF Network Increment 1 (AFNET Inc 1) Gateways, and the 26 NOS Local Area Network (LAN) assets. The Web System Administrator will be a key member of the team, responsible for managing and maintaining web systems and servers, ensuring the secure and efficient operation of web-based services across the network.\n
Responsibilities:\n\nManage data center operations for Windows 2019\/2016\/2012 Servers and Windows 10 OS, including application patching, software upgrades, and network\/firewall troubleshooting.\nCustomize IIS (Internet Information Server) or Apache web pages to develop web-based UIs for administering and managing hosted software applications and dashboards (e.g., 26NOS websites, NetQoS, Cacti, SolarWinds).\nPerform analytical, technical, and administrative work to set up, sustain, and troubleshoot web application system infrastructure, ensuring uptime and supporting future growth.\nEvaluate and address web performance issues, functionality, and requests for local and remote data centers.\nInstall secure socket layers (SSL), request\/apply DoD-issued web or application certificates, and configure certificate authentication on web servers and databases within a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) environment.\nRespond to system faults by analyzing and correcting applications or errors to restore service.\nUtilize DotNet Framework C#, InfoPath, and Microsoft Visual Studio for web application development and maintenance.\nAudit, remediate, and maintain DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) checklist documentation, ensuring compliance with best practices and security standards.\n\n
Qualifications\/Requirements:\n\n2+ years of experience with web-client technologies and web server support, preferably within VMware infrastructure or backups.\n1-3 years of experience with Windows server environments.\nExperience with PowerShell to develop automation processes that enhance day-to-day operations.\nIn-depth experience with Microsoft SQL database stored procedures and desktop applications.\nKnowledge of network protocols and technologies such as DHCP, ICMP, LDAPS, NetFlow, SCP, SMTP, SNMP, Syslog, TCP\/IP, VLANs, WMI.\nExposure to load balancing and traffic management technologies, as well as virtualized environments such as VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi hosts, and virtual machines.\nFamiliarity with advanced CSS\/CSS3, HTML\/HTML5, and browser performance optimizations.\n\n
Education:\n\nTechnical degree, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.\nAlternatively, 2-4 years of relevant experience in Information Technology, preferably within system administration.\n\n

Certifications:\n
Must hold one of the following DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certifications:\n\nCompTIA Security+ CE\nCompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) CE\n(ISC)\u00b2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)\nGIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP)\nGIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)\n\n
Must also hold the Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate certification.\n
Clearance:\n
Active DoD Secret clearance required, with the ability to obtain an interim Secret clearance if needed, and potential to upgrade to Top Secret clearance.\n
