Job Summary

Private family based in Kensington seek a chef specifically for the weekends to prepare Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner for the family along with a meal for their team of 15+ staff. This role requires a candidate to travel with the family for 2 weeks in the summer and there is opportunity for more work (for those that are interested) in the form of cover for the other chef and/or additional travel throughout the year.

Duties:

Family meals:

There are two adults and two children in the home and you will prepare:

Light Breakfast – smoothie/fresh juices, Chopped fruit, Porridge etc Lunch/Dinner – typically this will be the same for all the family and will be a more relaxed style, however in the event the principal is hosting a business meeting or guests, there may be the need to prepare a separate meal which may require more of a restaurant style There are no major allergies or intolerances within the family Open to a wide range of cuisines including but not limited to, English, European/Italian & Asian Responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen Liaising with the House Manager with kitchen provisioning

Staff meal:

This is a full staffed home and you will prepare one meal which will need to cater for the day shift and evening shift.

Candidate requirements

Have proven experience within a private household Willing to travel with the family for at least 2 weeks in the summer Adaptable to different styles of cooking from family style to restaurant style requiring more flair and emphasis on presentable plating techniques Comfortable cooking for larger numbers e.g. domestic staff Flexible to the dietary preferences of the family Confident driver is a benefit but not essential
