Job Description

This is a weekend Saturday position working within Eurofins Water Microbiology laboratory. The purpose of this role is to perform routine technical tasks in the water testing laboratory. These tasks will support with the preparation, analysis & recording of samples following company protocols.

Please note this is a part time role working 7.5 hours per week on Saturdays from 09:00 till 17:00.

For this position it's essential to have the ability to stand for long periods while conducting lab tasks.

Regular lifting of lab materials and water samples

Perform routine tasks in line with our protocols to prepare and analyse water samples. To include filtration and pipetting amongst others. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment used for testing, including calibrations and cleanliness.Use of inhouse system to record and maintain sample traceability data and ensure correct testing is carried out for each sample.Ensure accurate labelling, storage and disposal of samples takes place.Ensure that testing is completed within the required time frames as per our quality procedures.Monitor laboratory supplies and inventory and restock where required.Perform quality control testing where required to ensure accurate results are obtained.Collaborate with other team members and show flexibility to help meet demand.Be aware of and always maintain good laboratory practice.Work with the team to drive the laboratory forward through continuous improvement.Abides by strict health and safety rules.Complete all required training and maintain your own records as required.Undertake any other reasonable task or responsibility requested by a senior manager.

QualificationsProficient in Microsoft OfficeExperience in a fast-paced working environment and working under pressure to meet demand.Enthusiastic and able to work efficiently.Strong attention to detail and organisation skills.Good communication skills and a team Player.
