RESUME REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION

This position is responsible for assisting the maintenance department with plant maintenance.  This position works Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

This position has a salary range of $26.02 - $27.54 an hour, plus $1 shift differential as well as a $4 perfect attendance bonus that is paid out weekly.  

Our weekend mechanics work 12 hour shifts on Friday, Saturday and Sundays with an opportunity for overtime during the week.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned

 

Assure equipment is set up appropriately for the scheduled production size or mix, change as necessary to support fulfillment of the production schedule.Perform equipment audits at scheduled intervals and when performance dictates, recording results (typically in Infinity data base).Respond appropriately to audit results and Infinity alarms with machine adjustments, report adjustments or changes to satisfy alarm criteria.Perform preventative maintenance on machines as needed or assigned (some of this work will occur on weekends).Maintain open communication between production shifts and maintenance, this may include shift overlap and/or written documentation such as log books or journals.Assist with installation of new and existing equipment, and repairs of equipment, property and buildings      .Assists with other duties as directed by Supervisor or Lead Person, providing feedback to Supervisors concerning maintenance problems.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Demonstrated ability to perform basic math skills including: addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and percentage calculationsDemonstrated ability to read, write and speak EnglishAbility to pass a Prove It testTwo years’ experience in maintenance field preferredHave the ability to work with minimal direct supervisionExcellent mechanical aptitude and abilities in order to analyze, evaluate, and solve mechanical problemsExcellent communication skillsExperience in the operation of maintenance power toolsKnowledge of electric and mechanical proceduresFlexibility to work weekends as neededTo perform this job successfully, applicant must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
