Job Summary/Description:

From tornadoes and blizzards to floods and droughts, this is your chance to work in one of the most dynamic weather markets in the country!
WIBW-TV has an opening for a meteorologist. This person will anchor weather segments in our weekend morning and evening shows. They’ll also take part in extended coverage of breaking weather events, contribute to our growing digital programming, and provide news reports. Be part of the award-winning team at the number one station in the capital of Kansas, covering a 17-county designated market area where weather is always top of mind.

Please note - the primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the information listed above 

*Anchor weather segments in weekend morning and evening newscasts
*Provide reporting and digital content on other work days
*Work with weather team to create compelling graphics and presentation
*Take part in extended coverage during major weather events
*Make public appearances, presentations as requested

Qualifications/Requirements:

*College degree and/or prior experience in meteorology preferred
*Excellent writing and speaking skills
*On-camera experience and ad libbing ability
*Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
*Valid drivers license
