Weekend Onsite Liaison
Job Summary: To serve as the weekend liaison for the Katz JCC and support all functions and departments operating on weekends. To be a highly visible staff member, interacting with members, guests, and staff and assisting with the ongoing operations of the facility and related programs. To offer any needed support to the membership, fitness and wellness, and programs teams (primary weekend operations teams) in regard to the daily functions of said departments, as well as rentals and events. Schedule Hours: (25 hours minimum) Fridays: 9AM-12PM - Saturdays: 7AM-7PM - Sundays: 7AM-7PM Job Responsibilities: + Maintain a reliable schedule of predesigned weekend hours in the Katz JCC/JCC Camps at Medford facilities in support of the membership, fitness/wellness, and all programs’ teams and scheduled rentals and events; provide positive interactions with staff, security personnel, members and guests + On weekends, complete daily walkthroughs and facility checks to ensure that facility operations are functioning at a high level; report on outstanding issues and/or progress + Provide support to onsite staff with frequent check-ins; ensure that shift changeovers are successful + Troubleshoot and provide appropriate solutions for facility or staffing issues including but not limited to safety incidents, member incidents, maintenance concerns, staffing no-shows, event needs, etc., complete incident reports as necessary + Maintain working knowledge of all membership team protocols including but not limited to tours, membership database processes, membership rates, Code of Conduct and membership policies, guest pass policies, and customer service interactions + Maintain working knowledge of all fitness/wellness team protocols including but not limited to pool safety, water testing, fitness center protocols and policies, group exercise class policies, etc. + Maintain working knowledge of all JCC and Federation programs and policies; share knowledge of JCC programs with members, guests, and staff + Provide end-of-weekend reports to supervisors following each day of work noting any issues, concerns, needs + Proactively attend weekend facility events and offer support as needed to onsite staff such as birthday party staff, Imaginarium staff, Jr. Maccabi staff, swim team staff, etc. + Communicate effectively with supervisors as necessary for issues that require additional authority including the use of Microsoft Teams for emergent issues + Attend meetings both during operational hours and occasional after regular business hours as requested, with prior notice provided Required Education & Experience: + Minimum of three years’ experience in customer service or operations role, or a similar role preferred Additional Technical Requirements: + Ability to perform work that is routine and strong attention to details + Growth mindset and ability to learn and internalize processes and policies quickly + Ability to work in cross-functional teams + Excellent customer service, organization, and time management skills + Reliable and dependable work reporting required + Intermediate Level PC skills: Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Access EEO Statement: The Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey, and our family of agencies, is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
