Weekend Sports Program Instructor
**Overview** The **Weekend Program Instructor** will provide sports instruction for a variety of seasonal sports and environments. The incumbent will assist teach and lead participants in learning and participating in various sports and activities across multiple age groups, ensuring equipment is kept in good condition and ready for participant use, and help ensure safety of participants in programs. \*This position works on Saturdays. **Responsibilities** 1. Provide sports instruction in a variety of seasonal sports and environments. 2. Supervise instructional areas to ensure a safe environment. 3. Ensure proper care, maintenance, and storage of equipment. 4. Inspect wheelchairs and other mobility devices to ensure safety and readiness for usage. 5. Provide assistance and supervision in locker rooms as needed. 6. Ensures that participants have parent or guardian present before allowing participants to depart. **Qualifications** **QUALIFICATIONS:** Lifeguard Certification, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification, and First Aid certification preferred **EDUCATION:** + Associate’s degree required. + Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or related field preferred. **EXPERIENCE:** + Minimum one year of experience as a teacher, coach or instructor in a sports environment preferred. + Experience in coaching physically challenged athletes ages 2-18 in multiple sports preferred. + Personal sports experience in playing multiple sports at college or high school level preferred. + Experience teaching physical education preferred. **Minimum pay range** USD $21.18/Hr. **Maximum pay range** USD $35.47/Hr. **Vacancy ID** _10948_ **Pos.
