Position Summary This role is responsible for registering individuals for memberships, programs, activities, and classes while providing excellent customer service to visitors and members. Schedule This year-round position offers an average of 15-20 hours per week with a flexible schedule, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Currently, there is a greater need for morning shifts, though availability for a variety of hours is preferred. Key Responsibilities + Serve as the first point of contact for Recreation Center visitors. + Provide information about memberships, programs, and facility amenities. + Process memberships and program registrations using registration software. + Enforce Recreation Center policies and procedures. + Assist with special projects, including marketing materials, facility notices, and outbound calls. + Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area. + Assist customers in person and over the phone with registration and inquiries. + Process payments and maintain accurate financial records. + Conduct facility tours and verify member check-ins. + Ensure outstanding customer service by greeting guests with a smile and direct eye contact. + Follow cash-handling procedures and perform daily close-out processes. + Support staffing and setup for events. Qualifications + Minimum: + Must be at least 16 years old. + One year of customer service experience. + Satisfactory credit history. + Must obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification within six months of hire. + Preferred: + Two years of customer service experience. Starting rate of pay is $15.50 per hour. Physical and Environmental Factors: The role requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. (i.e. tables, chairs, gym equipment). Candidates should be comfortable with physical activity and working in conditions typical of a recreation center. Offers of employment are contingent upon successfully passing a drug screen. A background check is required for applicants aged 18 and older.
