Job Description
Grand Canyon University is currently seeking a Welcome Programs Marketing & Communications Coordinator! This role will coordinate all marketing and communication efforts while maintaining brand standards, additionally this role will play a part in leading our student workers and assist in coordinating various events on campus.
What you will do:
+ Develop and coordinate marketing and communication efforts (e.g. video, written copy, social media, promotional items, and digital assets) pertaining to new student orientation and transition programs.
+ Review and edit a variety of media and marketing content with a high level of attention to detail.
+ Provide artistic direction and design for a variety of marketing efforts to reach goal demographic.
+ Maintain brand standards and ensure consistency across campaigns.
+ Maintain and expand knowledge of marketing practices, processes, and relevant trends.
+ Track and maintain lists for relevant communications and programs.
+ Collect and analyze data through a variety of means (e.g., surveys, focus groups) to provide feedback for management in assessing the effectiveness of student leadership activities.
+ Assist in day-of coordination of Welcome Week, Spring Welcome Week, Lopes Out, Fostering Futures, Family Weekend, Lope Family Programs, and other programs as necessary.
+ Assist with the management of student workers and provide direction for program responsibilities and tasks.
+ Other duties as assigned.
What you will have:
+ Bachelor’s degree required from a regionally accredited institution, preferably in marketing or communications.
+ 1-year experience in marketing-related role.
+ Must have valid driver’s license.
+ Flexibility to work varying schedules including evenings, holidays, and weekends when necessary.
+ Experience with:
+ MS Office Suite software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
+ Social media and design platforms (Instagram, Hootsuite, Canva, Squarespace, etc.)
+ Must be able to pass pre-employment background investigation.
