Eaton’s CPDI PDI division is currently seeking a Welder - 3rd Shift. We are a leader in the design and production of critical power distribution products for many specific segments. The hourly rate for this position is $24.00 Pay includes a $3.00 shift differential for every hour worked. per hour. Includes a $3.00 shift-differential

What you’ll do:

The Welder timely and accurately builds Transformer sub-assemblies and assemblies to customer specifications using mechanical or power hand tools, machines, gauges, soldering and brazing equipment.

In this function you will:

 

Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to build sub-assemblies and assembliesUse heavy industrial equipment, including cranes, fabrication, welding and brazing equipmentProvide assistance to other sheet metal fabricators / operators in performance of their duties as required.Be responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assemblyUse various fixtures, gauges, hand tools, power tools, MIG welders to assemble, adjust, or repair productInspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and making necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality goalsMaintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly fashionAdhere to company, environmental, health, safety rules and regulationsProvide process and safety improvement idea.Observe all health/hygiene and safety policies as directed and specified.Ensure machines and tools are properly calibrated and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S+Qualifications:

Required (Basic):

High School diploma or GED from an accredited institutionCompleted welding, brazing, MIG, or aluminum welding certifications Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the futureNo relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered.  Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred:

6 months experience in welding, and brazingExperience in manufacturing, production, packaging or construction, or equivalent educationPrevious experience with standard operating procedures Skills: Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of the mechanical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facilityAbility to read and interpret standard operating procedures, drawings, and bills of materialAbility to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as neededAbility to lift, push and pull 40 lbsAbility to use a crane once fully trained to lift itemsAbility to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this positionAbility to use hand tools and other machines to manipulate metal and or wire
