This is a temp-to-hire opportunity that, with good attendance and a great work ethic, can lead to a long and rewarding career with numerous opportunities for advancement. Responsibilities:Cutt and join metals and other materials Verify and document all receipts of incoming materials, goods and servicesUse hand tools for the assembly of fabricated partsRead blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and proceduresDetermine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirementsSet up components for welding according to specifications Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be weldedAlign components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp piecesWeld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gapsTest and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws  Qualifications and Requirements:High School diploma or trade completionMinimum 6 months' Welding experience – preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing or machine shop environment.Ability to read and interpret drawings.Able to lift 50lbsAble to stand for long periods Benefits and Perks:Eligible to enroll in medical, dental and vision insuranceWeekly pay periods401k matching up to 5% Your New Organization: Our client is a premier metal assembly manufacturer serving both commercial and defense industries, with two advanced facilities totaling 240,000 sq. ft.
