**Job Title: Welder** **Job Description** - Perform MiG and Stick Welding - Weld new parts onto machines and grind old parts off efficiently - Read prints (simple drawings) to properly lay out rebar and build forms - Set up metal forms that concrete is poured into, creating the pipe form (up to 10 ft tall and 6 ft wide) - Clean metal forms by scraping dried concrete, using a sledgehammer, shoveling concrete, and lifting steel bars - Conduct any other needed manual labor and maintenance **Hard Skills** + MiG Welding + Stick Welding + Reading Drawings + Basic Math Knowledge + Using Tape Measure + Maintenance + Turning Wrenches **Soft Skills** + Efficiency + Willingness to Work Until Job is Finished + Adaptability to Work Environment **Job Type** This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s). **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Ashland, Virginia. First Shift 6AM/7AM start time openings. **Work Environment** Open air concrete yard. Able to work in various weather conditions - hot, cold, rainy, windy, dusty. Required to wear steel-toed boots, hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, and long pants (recommend long shirt to prevent cuts from concrete). Work hours can extend to 10-hour days if needed but aim to keep it at 8 hours.
