Join vision into reality; join a hard-working team, bring your ideas to life, and put your unique skills into action to deliver exceptional quality. **Crafting Excellence: Your Responsibilities** Understand, properly set up and proficiently operate a variety of welding equipment e.g. SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, Oxy-Acetylene cutting, Plazma cutting, Arc Carbon Arc cutting, power tools, shop equipment, etc. Working from drawings, plant layouts, or verbal orders, perform a wide variety of fabrication assignments, operating a variety of power equipment and machinery. Working knowledge of welding symbols with the ability to weld to the specifications defined by those symbols. Weld to proper dimensions and to meet general test requirements. Work from drawings, job layouts, and sketches. Fit, position, and weld a variety of items e.g. frames, bases, hoppers, covers, hoods, pipes, production service equipment and machinery, etc. Chip and grind welds as required. Perform a variety of duties requiring a cutting torch. Safely and effectively operate all shop fabrication equipment. Understand different types of steel and various preheat requirements. Required to achieve a passing score on technical skills test and hands-on assessment. Must be capable of operating a forklift. Must provide own tools.
