**Entry Level Welder** **Job Description** We are seeking an entry level Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various welding tasks, including MIG and TIG welding, and working with different materials such as stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum. You will be expected to read and interpret blueprints, use a tape measure accurately, and ensure high-quality welds in a production environment. **Responsibilities** + Read and interpret blueprints with some assistance. + Demonstrate the ability to turn on welding machines, connect cables properly, and adjust machine settings for proper weld penetration and appearance. + Turn regulator valves to activate the flow of gases, light the torch, and adjust the gas mixture and pressure to obtain the desired flame for cutting. + Manually guide the electrode or gun along the weld line, maintaining the length of the arc and speed of movement to join edges of the workpiece under supervision. + Weld flat, cylindrical, or irregular parts by positioning with bolts, clamps, or tack welding to secure in position prior to welding. + Weld on various materials including stainless steel, mild steel, and zinc. + Read and interpret a tape measure accurately. **Essential Skills** + Experience with MIG welding. + Experience with TIG welding. + Proficiency in reading blueprints and work orders. + Ability to work with stainless steel, mild steel, and zinc. + Ability to use a tape measure accurately. + 6 months of welding experience or relevant certification. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with flux core welding. + Experience with grinding and fabrication. + Knowledge of welding on carbon steel and aluminum. + Assembly and fitting skills. + Stick welding experience. **Why Work Here?** Joining our team means you will immediately become part of a union with excellent benefits, including scheduled pay raises and good medical coverage.
