**Job Title: Welder**
**Job Description**
Currently seeking highly motivated and talented individuals for welding positions in our Steel and Irrigation Operations division. We are looking for a highly driven individual who will weld metal components together to fabricate or repair products according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders using brazing and a variety of arc and gas welding equipment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Fuse or weld metal structural components together using arc welding in the fabrication of steel electrical poles, substations, and other structures.
+ Perform welding operations requiring a limited amount of planning of work from blueprints or other written specifications and determining operation sequence.
+ Utilize all safety devices and wear all mandatory personal protective safety equipment.
+ Adjust welding equipment to its prescribed settings.
+ Maintain and operate production tooling and fixtures as well as all welding equipment in a safe and secure manner.
+ Read and complete the labor reporting system, standard shop forms, and blueprints.
+ Perform minor welding machine maintenance (e.g., tips, liners, gas cups).
+ Use the labor reporting system, routing shop forms, and fill out more tags.
**Work Environment**
The work environment is heavily industrial, requiring jeans, steel toes with a metatarsal cover, and a shirt. The campus is very large and requires candidates to drive from building to building. It is a very industrial environment that can be noisy and, at times, dirty. The available shifts are 2nd: Monday - Friday 3 PM - 11 PM or Monday - Thursday 3PM - 1AM and 3rd: Monday - Friday 11PM - 7AM.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Valley, Nebraska.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00
