Our client, located in the Tacoma, Washington area, is seeking a skilled Welder to join their team. This role requires individuals who are either currently certified or can become certified under AAR (Association of American Railroads) standards. The ideal candidate will contribute to the repair and maintenance of rail cars and rail equipment, ensuring all welding is performed to the highest safety and quality standards. In addition to welding, the position includes work within the division when welding repairs or maintenance are not required. The Day-to-Day:

Perform welding on locomotive components, heavy plates, sheet metal, underframe structures, end plates, bridge plates, and other rail-related equipment as needed.Utilize tools such as welders, cutting torches, grinders, cutoff tools, and other equipment required for repairs and maintenance.Ensure all welding work complies with AAR standards and safety regulations.Collaborate with the team to address maintenance needs and support overall facility operations.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.Previous welding experience is highly preferred.Certification under AAR standards (or ability to achieve certification as required).

Pay Rate/Shifts:

$20.00 per hour.Monday to Friday.
