Job Description

As a Welder, you will be responsible for tac/mig welding in a production welding and processing atmosphere. You will work with plate to plate, block to plate, butt joint, stitch welding, pipe welding, and square block welding for brackets and components for large equipment. You may also be asked to operate a press brake, paint line, powder coating, and perform assembly tasks.

ResponsibilitiesPerform MIG welding on various materials and components.Read and interpret blueprints for welding projects.Engage in plate to plate, block to plate, butt joint, stitch welding, pipe welding, and square block welding.Operate press brake, paint line, and powder coating equipment as needed.Assist with assembly tasks when required.Ensure all welds are clean and presentable.Work individually with a growth mindset and maintain excellent attendance.Essential SkillsProficiency in MIG welding.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Experience with grinding and fabrication.Competence in using a tape measure.Experience with stainless steel and mild steel welding.Additional Skills & QualificationsFlexibility to perform tasks outside of primary job responsibilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Growth mindset and commitment to personal development.Certification in welding is preferred.Strong work ethic and pride in workmanship.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

You will work in a mid-size, 30-person fabrication shop that includes paint, press brake, welding, and assembly processes. We are expanding and adding 6-7 new customers in 2024. The production welding environment includes welding bays within two buildings on site. Materials range from 20 gauge to 1 inch mild steel. The shift is Monday to Thursday, 5:30am-3:30pm, with potential overtime on Fridays. Flexible working hours are available. We offer paid breaks and a 20-minute paid lunch.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dunlap, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
