**1st Shift Structural Steel Welder** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Structural Steel Welder responsible for the production and fabrication of structural steel components for commercial buildings. This role involves working with architectural pieces such as stairs and rails for various infrastructures, including buildings, hospitals, universities, and stadiums. **Responsibilities** + Produce and fabricate structural steel components for commercial buildings. + Perform MIG welding on columns, ibeams, and other structural elements. + Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols accurately. + Ensure accurate fit-up and welding of items according to specifications. + Grind and prepare steel surfaces for welding. + Adhere to AWS D1.1 standards for structural welding. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of 1 year of experience welding in a structural environment. + Proficiency in MIG welding. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols. + Competence in using computer systems. + Precision in reading tape measures to 1/16th of an inch. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Knowledge of AWS D1.1 welding standards. + Experience in fabricating and grinding steel components. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic team dedicated to producing high-quality structural components for a variety of important commercial projects.
