**Welder $18-23** **Job Description** We are seeking skilled welders with a range of experience from basic metalworking to advanced welding proficiency. The ideal candidates will possess expertise in using hand tools, power tools, and basic metalworking machinery. Knowledge of fabrication processes such as cutting, grinding, and drilling is essential. We have opportunities for welders at various levels, from entry-level to advanced, each with specific responsibilities and skill requirements. **Responsibilities** + Proficiently use hand tools, power tools, and basic metalworking machinery. + Operate and maintain shop machines and sand tools, understanding their designs, uses, and repair needs. + Perform fabrication processes such as cutting, grinding, and drilling. + Weld using flux core and/or hard wire techniques. + Read and interpret basic weld symbols and drawings. + Set up and adjust welding equipment settings. + Troubleshoot welding equipment and perform minor repairs. + Correct unsatisfactory welds to meet quality standards. + Train lower-level welders and ensure quality checks on welds. + Weld multiple material types and perform basic fitting tasks. + Understand and manage heat-affected areas and their reactions to base metals. + Identify and perform corrective actions as needed. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in welding flux core and hard wire. + Basic to advanced knowledge of weld symbols. + Ability to read and interpret drawings. + Knowledge of welding equipment settings and operation. + D1.1 certification in flux core and hard wire welding for advanced positions. + Ability to troubleshoot and repair welding equipment. + Basic fitting skills and understanding of heat-affected areas. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 2+ years of experience with flux core welding. + Ability to train and mentor lower-level welders. + Quality inspection and corrective action skills. **Why Work Here?** This is a great opportunity to grow within the company.
