Pay Rate - $26 - $36/hr. (1st and 2nd Shift)
**Job Description**
The position of Welder/Fitter is to provide a quality-welded product using Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) processes to achieve code qualified welds. This position may include programmable robotic welding.
**Responsibilities**
+ Demonstrate knowledge of Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) principles and practices.
+ Demonstrate knowledge of Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) principles and practices.
+ Demonstrate basic knowledge of Oxy-Acetylene set-up.
+ Interpret written welding procedures.
+ Interpret and fabricate parts from drawings and welding symbols.
+ Demonstrate safe behavior and techniques for storing and handling cylinders.
+ Demonstrate the proper use of equipment.
+ Demonstrate compliance with equipment preventative maintenance (PM) program.
+ Demonstrate knowledge of welding inspection and testing principles and practices.
+ Possess basic welding knowledge of carbon steel and stainless-steel material.
+ Maintain the 5S rules and practices in the assigned work center.
+ Adhere to guidelines and procedures prescribed by industry standards.
+ Perform robotic welding tasks.
+ Complete all other functions and responsibilities assigned by the manager.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficient in Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW).
+ Ability to interpret welding procedures, drawings, and welding symbols.
+ Knowledge of Oxy-Acetylene set-up.
+ Understanding of welding inspection and testing principles.
+ Basic welding knowledge of carbon steel and stainless steel.
+ Experience in maintaining 5S standards.
+ Knowledge of equipment preventative maintenance.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 3-5 years of experience working with 3 to 5 materials, including Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, and Carbon to Stainless.
+ 5-10 years of experience working with 5 to 8 materials, including Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Carbon to Stainless, and all grades (P11, P22, and P91).
+ 10+ years of experience working with 8 to 12 materials, including Monel, Duplex, Hast-C, Inconel 625 & 825, and Alloy 20.
+ Experience with both TIG and MIG welding processes.
+ PED or equivalent endorsement is a plus.
+ High School Diploma (HSD) or General Education Development (GED).

**Work Environment**
The work environment includes exposure to dust, welding arc rays, welding fumes, gas fumes, sulfur-based cutting oil, grinding and sharp chips from machining, moderate to high noise volume, and moderate temperatures. Appropriate safety PPE is provided. The shift is from 6:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Thursday, and from 6:00am to 10:00am on Friday.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $74880.00/yr.
