Job Description

Our client is a world class precision manufacturer of metal components and sub-assemblies that use metal cutting, forming, machining, welding, assembly and paint. We use state-of-the-art machining and fabrication techniques in a lean, self-directed work team manufacturing environment to produce high value-added, cost-effective products for our strategic partners.

Position: Production Welder (Heavy Parts)

Afternoon shift: 3pm-11pm Mon-Fri (able to work Day/Aft shifts and OT as required)

Permanent after 3 months of probation

Salary: CAD 27 – CAD 29 Hourly, (Depending on Experience)

Responsibilities

Read and interpret work orders and technical drawings. Perform welding duties in accordance with work instructions and inspection sheets, and technical drawings. Understand and comply with Company Health & Safety standards and programs Able to do GMAW welding Requirements

Education & Qualifications

Welding Certificate or Diploma Valid CWB welding ticket is an asset 5 + years of welding/fitting experience – Metal Core Wire and Hard Wire TIG welding experience as an asset Experience with forklift, jib/overhead cranes is an asset Physically capable of performing the essential duties and responsibilities of the position including regular lifting and carrying of 5-23 kgs. Ability to work safe and independently within a fast-paced environment. Written and oral communication in English.
