**Job Title: Welder and Fabricator** **Job Description** Candidates will be working in an open area within the shop, paired with another welder to double team each rack. This is production welding in a jobbing shop that handles custom orders for restaurants, medical, and food industries. Candidates will be assembling racks and washers, then TIG welding them together. All work involves 12, 14, 16, and 18 gauge stainless steel, mostly 16 gauge. **Responsibilities** + Read, interpret, and follow drawings, BOMs, and other specifications to determine welding/fabricating requirements. + Ensure that all products meet specified tolerances while adhering to quality standards. + Understand all elements of the fabrication process and the time needed to execute all steps. + Perform various fabrication processes including preparation, layout, forming, deburring, grinding, weld cleaning, and finishing. + Bolt and attach parts to the washer, install doors, hinges, latches, windows, and gaskets. + Saw your own pipe and perform drilling tasks. **Essential Skills** + 5 years of light gauge stainless steel fabrication. + Experience in fitting and fabricating stainless steel. + Mechanical assembly skills. + Ability to read blueprints. + TIG welding experience with the ability to perform nice/clean welding jobs. + Sheet metal fabrication experience. + Ability to weld and finish 16-gauge stainless steel, No 4 Finish. + Ability to lift 50 lbs. + Fluent communication in English. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Red seal or equivalent certification. + Team player with a good attitude and willingness to do small jobs. **Why Work Here?** We offer a clean shop environment with a good culture where everyone gets along well. The role is a contract position for 6 months, with the potential to become permanent. Donuts are supplied, and laundered uniforms are provided. **Work Environment** Shift hours are 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday. The shop specializes in custom kitchen and food equipment for restaurants. The shop is clean and well-maintained, with a team of about 44 shop workers, including fabricators, press operators, welders, and laborers. There are 16 welders in total.
