This is a full-time, hourly level position.
 
Position Summary:ADM is seeking a welder to repair inland river barges and boats at our American River Transportation Company (ARTCo) fleeting location in Westwego, LA. Job Responsibilities:Repair, cut and remove damaged steelFit new material and weld watertightVarious other welding and cutting projectsGeneral labor and housekeepingReport all injuries, illnesses, and near misses in a timely mannerAdditional duties and responsibilities as required or requestedJob Requirements:Must be able to use an oxygen/acetylene cutting torch to cut mild steel plateAbility to work well independently as well as part of a teamAbility to work overtime as required; must allow for changes in assignment and priorities depending upon the identified needs of the operationsWelding certificate preferred, but not requiredPromote the ADM Way and core ValuesMust have a demonstrated history of safe work behavior and a sincere desire to follow and improve upon safety policies and proceduresMust have reliable transportation to and from workAbility to work extended hours, evenings, weekends and Holidays Physical Requirements:Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and Company human performance exam (physical ability test)Standing for prolonged periods of timeFrequent heavy liftingProlonged periods of kneeling, bending and climbing stairs/laddersAbility to work near or on large bodies of water, at various heights and in confined spacesMust be able to work in all types of climates, including, but not limited to hot, cold, dusty, etcADM requires the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and a background check.​
