Expectations: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pipe welder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding pipe products (stainless steel and carbon steel) using advanced welding processes, setting up complex fixtures and equipment, and performing in-process weld quality inspections. This role requires expertise in 6G welding positions and a thorough understanding of welding procedures and safety standards. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure all welds for carbon steel pipe are performed using the primary process Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) where possible. In some cases where unable to use primary process a secondary process will be used: Shield Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)Perform all stainless steel welds with Shield Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) process as per company procedureEnsure all welds are clean, grinded and inspected; repair welds if necessary before moving product to next operationEnsure all welds are performed 6G position with the aid of fixture and rotating equipmentEnsure that the welder stamps are applied to every carbon steel fitting (for traceability purpose), application of other stamp may be requiredAll welds to be performed according to drawingsEnsure that all inspection record and other record requirement are filled out neatly and correctly and returned to supervisor at the end of work dayEnsure work is carried out in accordance with established company proceduresMake sure that welding machine calibration sticker is up dateMaintain a neat and clean workplace; comply with any FEM and LEAN manufacturing principlesImmediately report any unsafe equipment to supervisor, lock out equipment until repairs can be performedAdhere to company policies and safety proceduresUse flame cutting equipment if instructed SAFETY EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENT: The use of appropriate safety equipment, as described below, is a mandatory condition of employment and not a matter of choice. Victaulic will provide the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) when required. The safety equipment that must be worn while performing job responsibilities includes:- Welding helmet (auto darkening)- Hearing protection- Safety Shoes (Met-Guard Type)- Face shield (as required)- Safety glasses-Flame Retardant clothing, such as a leather apron-Welding Gloves EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENT: Good verbal and written communication skillsQualified in FCAW (Flux Core Arc welding) process, (Carbon steel)Qualified in SMAW (Shield Metal Arc Welding) process (Carbon steel and Stainless Steel)MIG aluminum welding an assetAble to safely operate hand and power toolsAble to read blueprints5-10 years of experience in pipe fabrication environment Applicants will be required to participate in a hands-on interview featuring a 6G weld test and blueprint reading. Schedule: Full Time: Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm and occasionally FridaysPay: $27-32 per hour Why Victaulic?
