Start your new career as a Welder with MAU at Aerowerks in Gaffney, SC. As a Welder, you will fabricate, assemble, weld, and polish stainless-steel components for high-quality material handling systems used in the food industry. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.
What We Offer: Starting pay of $26.00 based on experience Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Temp-to-hire Health Benefits Opportunity for Advancement Dental Insurance Paid Time Off What We’re Looking For: 3–5 years of experience in stainless-steel welding and fitting Proficiency in TIG welding and metal polishing techniques Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship Experience operating lifting and material handling equipment Willingness to travel within the U.S. for customer-site equipment installations Effective communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused attitude Proven ability to perform both welding and polishing to ensure the strength, finish, and functionality of stainless-steel components What You’ll Do as a Welder: Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings Fit and prepare stainless-steel components using jigs and tack welding Perform TIG welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions Inspect welds to ensure quality and compliance with specifications Safely operate material handling and lifting equipment Grind, polish, and finish stainless-steel surfaces and welded joints Use hand grinders and polishers to prepare surfaces Remove imperfections and apply buffing compounds for a high-quality finish Maintain a clean and organized polishing area Assist in other departments as needed
