Job Title: Welder-Fluxcore
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Welder-Fluxcore to perform welding duties using FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding). The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding steel components based on procedures, layouts, blueprints, diagrams, work orders, or oral instructions. This role includes tasks ranging from simple tacks to complex welds performed in varying positions. Additionally, the welder will be involved in setting up and laying out work using fixtures and guides to repair, modify, or fabricate parts and equipment products.

ResponsibilitiesPerform welding duties using FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding).Weld steel components as specified by procedures, layouts, blueprints, diagrams, work orders, or oral instructions.Work includes set-up, laying out work using fixtures and guides to repair, modify, or fabricate parts and/or equipment products.Operate related equipment and tools including forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders, cutting torches, hand tools, drills, punches, tape measures, and Air Arc.Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting malfunctions.Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions, and procedures.Maintain level of work performance in accordance with KPI standards and job order specifications.Participate in process and product development and improvement programs, teams, and focus groups.Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Set up and run machinery.Ensure possession and proper use of necessary PPE (tools, Weld Hood, etc.).Essential SkillsProficiency in Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW).Ability to read and interpret blueprints.2-4 years of experience as a fluxcore welder.Must own proper PPE including steel toes, hard hat, weld hood, and tools.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in operating forklifts, hoists, and slings.Proficient in using grinders, cutting torches, hand tools, drills, punches, tape measures, and Air Arc.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This role is in a non-climate controlled environment that can be very hot in the summer and cold in the winter.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Knoxville, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
