Welding education or certifications preferred. **Job Title:** Welder/Heavy Equipment Operator **City:** Middletown **Key Job Elements:** • Weld to build shear heads back to required specs; • Basic maintenance mechanic skill set; • Ability to operate heavy equipment in an industrial setting to stage and process material. **Qualifications and Experience:** • Prior welding experience and/or certification required; • Must be able to pass welding test; • Knowledge to perform basic repairs to various equipment onsite; • Must be able to stand in one place for an extended period of time; • Must be able to lift 50 lbs repetitively. Frequent twisting and bending; • Work is performed inside/outside and applicant must be able to withstand all weather conditions; • Ability to communicate effectively; • Ability to use measuring devices accurately. • Strength – Able to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance; • Motion – Employee will sit for the majority of the shift, may kneel, squat and climb steps as needed throughout the day; • Vision/Hearing Requirements – Must be able to detect or tell the differences between sounds that vary in pitch and loudness. The ability to see details at close range or at a distance; • Work Environment- Work in all weather conditions; • Emotional Demands – Job requires accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations; • Safety – Position is a safety sensitive position.
