Duties\n\nCalculates dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and precision measurement instruments and using that knowledge, layout piece parts for the welding process. \nInterprets drawings, specifications and all weld symbols used in the welding industry. \nPerforms welding of metal objects using a Mig welder or Tig welder.\nInspects complex welded assemblies to insure product meets both drawing requirements and specifications. \nAssists in the training and certification process for Welder II. \nChooses the correct tools and processes based on customer requirements and specifications.\nEvaluates work area to identify any hazards or unsafe conditions. \nEnsures all PPE is in place prior to beginning the welding process. \nOther Duties as assigned.\n\n
Education\/Experience Requirements\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\n4 - 10 years of experience in welding trades.\nMust have excellent hand\/eye coordination and possess the ability to use saws, grinders and milling equipment in the preparation of parts for weld. \nAbility to read and understand complex engineering drawings.\nWill have training in the use of precision measurement instruments.\nWill hold or have held certifications in the welding of aluminum, steel and stainless steel using MIG and TIG welding equipment.\nMust be able to take and pass welding test to receive certifications as required by prints and or contract.\nWe maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.\n\n
