**Description** **SIS** is currently seeking a **Welder -** **Maintenance Technician** to join our team in **Broussard, LA.** **Summary:** This job description defines the qualifications, requirements, responsibilities, duties and functions of a Fabrication & Maintenance Technician **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** + Maintains a safety & productive workplace + Troubleshoots and/or repairs facility, operational and portable equipment as defined by the Company + Completes necessary documentation associated with the equipment maintenance program and fabrication processes + Control inventory and order shop supplies according to Company procedures + Prepares material list based on scale drawings for fabrication or construction projects + Proposes recommendations to improve the equipment maintenance program and fabrication processes + Fabricates infrastructural equipment to support the Operations Department + Performs other duties as assigned by the Fabrication & Maintenance Manager **Education** + High School diploma, GED **TECHNICAL SKILLS** + Ability to read scale drawings for fabrication and/or construction projects + Ability to set up a safe and productive work flow + General knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems + Weld using stick or MIG methods + Operates forklift and overhead crane **BEHAVIORAL SKILLS** + Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers, supervisor, and managers + Ability to work independently with occasional supervision **EXCELLENT BENEFITS** : Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, Matching 401(k) Compensation: DOE **The above statements are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so classified; nothing restricts the company’s right to change, assign, or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time or for any reason.** **To be considered for this position, please select the link “Apply Now”.** Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
