This position will oversee all metal joining processes at the Sensata Thousand Oaks, CA facility, including internal processes: Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Laser Welding, Resistance Welding, Induction Brazing and interconnect soldering plus external processes: Electron Beam Welding and Furnace Brazing for Aerospace applications. **General Responsibilities** + Implements and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacturing or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies + Collaborates with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products + Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines + Organizes records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations + Key participant in planning and designing manufacturing processes in an industrial plant + Organizes the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation in support of manufacturing operations such as machining, metal forming, plastics processing, welding and brazing, assembly, and material handling **Experience / Qualifications** + A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience. + Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands + Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation + Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results + Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity + Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards + Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) + Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers + Support all metal joining processes welding, brazing and soldering + Concept and/or design braze and weld tooling/fixturing. Working knowledge of Solid Works is a strong plus. + Perform characterization of weld, braze and solder joints + BS Degree in Welding is a strong plus. BS degree in a related engineering discipline will be considered with metals joining experience + Experience with J-STD-001 for soldering, NDT (Fluorescent Penetrant and CT Scan/Xray) and Metallography is a strong plus. + Experience and knowledge in Shainin Problem Solving or Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing, Aerospace quality systems and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing is a strong plus. \#LI-SS1 #LI-Onsite # Base Salary Range: $76,800.00 - $105,600.00 _At Sensata, our employees are the key to our success and growth.
