How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Reporting directly to the District Manager, the incumbent is responsible for growing the rental, lease and sales of Red D Arc Specialty Products to include sub-arc systems, positioners, manipulators, turning rolls, orbital and heat treating equipment, blasting products and related welding equipment in our North Region. The incumbent is required to follow up on sales leads, making presentations in a professional manner, preparing quotes, producing conceptual Hard Automation application drawings and expansion of current Company Hard Automation sales channels. The candidate will coach and assist customers in self-performing their own heat treating and orbital welding. The incumbent will work directly with end user customers and support our field sales team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, business and leadership skills and be able to demonstrate their past successes.

Essential Functions

Maintains a safe working environment in the branch by following Airgas/Red-D-Arc’s health and safety guidelines.

Develops and increases end user customer bases through effective communication, assessment of needs and recommendations of all Specialty Products solutions.

Expands current Weld Automation sales channels as well as developing and growing new sales channels such as: growing lines, cladding systems, hard automation work cell integration and other specialized Hard Automation Integration applications.

Makes application recommendations of Weld Automation product lines.

Develops and maintains customer relationships to move them from novice to competent self-performers in Orbital welding and Heat Treating. 

Trains RDA field sales teams and Airgas Adv. Fab Specialists to understand our capabilities and grow standard & specialized PMT sales.

Initiates and grows relationships with all Red-D-Arc Sales Leaders to grow Weld Automation Sales within each Red-D-Arc District.

Coordinates and performs onsite set up of equipment and demonstrations.

Works as part of a team to provide customer solutions.

Provides exceptional customer service.

Represents the company at trade association meetings and trade shows.

Cold-calls and creates compilations of potential customers & leads.

Maintains accurate & timely reports including business plans and regional forecasts.

Performs other related duties as required.

Education

Post-secondary education equivalent to an Associates degree in Engineering or related field is preferred. 

Experience

Greater than five years sales experience in Weld Process Sales.

Strong Background in all welding processes with special emphasis on automation and SAW.

Preference giving to applicants with additional qualifications / certifications such as CWI, CWE, CRAW, CWS,  NCCER instructor, etc.
