Qualifications Technical diploma in Welding from an accredited college with a minimum of four years of relevant occupational experience OR associate degree in Welding from an accredited college with a minimum of two years of relevant occupational experience.Relevant experience (required years listed above) as a welder, of which at least one year (2,000 hours) shall be within five years prior to the date of hire. The one year of recent experience may be waived if the instructor has at least two years post-secondary teaching experience in the appropiate field within five years prior to the date of hire. Experience using Computer Aided Design (CAD) platforms (e.g., Solidworks) in a welding context.Experience with robotic programming in a welding context.American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or Certified Welding Educator (CWE), or ability to obtain within one year of hire.Additional AWS professional certification(s) are a plus.This position may include teaching online and requires expertise in integrating technology.Prior teaching or training experience preferred.Qualified per CVTC requirements at time of, and throughout, employment as an instructor. Must also meet and maintain Higher Learning Commission (HLC) requirements, Faculty Quality Assurance Standards (FQAS), and/or other job specific licensing standards.
