If you are a Welding professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity at our Boulder, CO location. We weld multiple alloys using the TIG welding process to manufacture, assemble, and prototype our instrumentation products that are used for measurement in a wide range of industries. Capable of safely performing welding-related tasks using the Gas Tungsten Arc Welding method by the requirements of ASME Sec. IX, the European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), and internal specifications, you will produce welds that pass destructive and non-destructive testing based on certification requirements.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
floor Independently maintains CAT record and process certifications Verifies and maintains accurate product documentation throughout the assembly process
including part numbers, serial numbers, heat lots, product codes, dates, and employee
signoff Ensures product and process quality is maintained through visual inspection and testing as
required Coordinates, cleans, and maintains good housekeeping through utilization of 5S principles Takes initiative to troubleshoot and problem-solve production issues Enters data into the Oracle system and performs computer transactions, as appropriate Actively participates in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP), Lean Manufacturing, 5s + 1,
and Statistical Process Control (SPC) efforts to help improve quality, shorten cycle times and reduce manufacturing costs Assists in the orientation and training of other Manufacturing Specialists

For This Role, You Will Need: 1 year of welding experience, completion of welding classes, or completion of a welding certificate program TIG experience Ability to lift 35lbs Able to read and perform basic math Able to bend, crouch, push, pull, and reach regularly throughout the shift Able to wear personal protective equipment accurately throughout the entire shift Requires repetitive motion of fingers, hands, arms, and shoulders for reaching, handling, and assembly of the product Exhibit excellent interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Able to interpret engineering drawings, procedures, and welding symbols AAS degree in welding preferred

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. In accordance with Colorado EPEWA, the hourly pay range for this role is $30.26 - $36.25 commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
