Your responsibilities will include

Use basic hand tools of the welding trades, such as a chipping hammer, striker, tip cleaner, C clamp, vise grip, tape measure, square, protractor

Oxy Acetylene torch cutting – work orders include, but aren’t limited to, set up tanks, set regulator pressure, select correct tips for application to be used on, able to select correct tint of cutting glasses

Brazing – work orders include, but aren’t limited to, set up tanks, set regulator pressure, select correct tips for application to be used on, able to select correct tint of brazing glasses

ARC Welding – work orders include, but aren’t limited to, set up welder for application being used, select correct welding rod for application, able to select correct welding helmet lens strength

Mig Welding – work orders include, but aren’t limited to, set up welder for application being used, select correct welding wire for application, able to select correct welding helmet lens strength

Tig Welding – work orders include, but aren’t limited to, set up welder for application being used, select correct welding material for application, able to select correct welding helmet lens strength

Plasma Arc torch cutting (set up Plasma Arc for application being used, select equipment to be used for application, able to select correct lens strength for cutting)

Minimum requirements

Current High School student in his/her Junior or Senior year

Prior completion of welding classes during high school

Must have the ability to work alone and effectively with other people.  Good work ethic and attendance are also required

Knowledge of Brazing, Tig Welding strongly preferred
